Spend a weekend at The Chestnuts on a fun Horsemanship camp, (arrive Friday afternoon/evening - potential for individual/shared lesson on the Friday, leaving Sunday afternoon ) and enjoy two group sessions per day putting purpose and focus to your horsemanship with Sally - with sessions on both pole work exercises in the arena, and negotiating obstacles in the playground.
Pole work is great for helping to improve a horse’s balance, rhythm and confidence and helps add more purpose and fun to schooling sessions. Obstacles in the playground include a gate, slopes, bridge, steps, sunken road, ditch, tyres and jumps. You will be coached on how to negotiate obstacles safely and confidently and all obstacles are optional..
When not riding, spend time learning from watching others, spectating demos, participating in group activities and spending quality time with your horse.
Lesson groups will be tailored to suit the horse and riders in each group. Ideal for riders who are confident to ride in small groups, in an arena or fenced paddock setting. This will be a predominately ridden camp but there will be opportunity to do ground work prior to riding if required. The weekend is a wonderful opportunity to have time to spend with your horse, leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the wonderful facilities that The Chestnuts has to offer.
•45x28m rubber & sand arena
•Playground /obstacle paddock
•Electric fenced turnout grass pens for horses
•Meeting area & refreshments
•Camping field

- 3 Day Horsemanship Experience
So how do the virtual clinics work?
We use Zoom, so Dave can see what is happening and he can instruct in real time from the comfort of his living room. It's just like having him there (well almost!)
The clinic starts at 9am until approx 1pm with a short break in the middle. Sally Brett is also on hand for a session in the afternoons for an hour.
Rider places are £85.00 per day.
Venue costs will be £100 for the duration of the camp (arrive a day before, leave a day later to suit your needs). nb We have not costed in hire of a gas powered shower this time in an attempt to keep costs to a minimum Should the entire group agree and wish to add this in then cost will be equally shared.
Spectator actual or virtual £35.00 per day plus £5 facility fee .
Dave has been working on putting together online training packages and these will be offered at a special rate for those participating as riders.
Please could you PM Tina Griffen to book a place either as rider/spectator/virtual spectator. sales@totalhorsemanship.co.uk
